Annual Intensives
“Ayelet Rose Gottlieb is creating a holistic jazz vocal community. It’s inter-racial, inter-generational and a space where instrumentalists who are not vocalists are beautifully integrated in a horizontal way. It’s also a community where people who are not vocalists or learned musicians can find where song lives within them. Ayelet also deeply understands the meaning of “intuitive musician” so exposure to more complex aspects of theory are presented playfully and without judgment. This is the place to come hang and learn, for so many reasons. Including how the vibe will warm your heart. And how your heart will be part of the warming of other hearts. Thank you Ayelet.”
~ Katie Bull, Vocalist, Whole Body Voice Practitioner, Writer
The Orchard’s (now annual) Intensives are weekend-long deep dives to discover your true voice. Exhilarating vocal workshops by cutting edge musicians
For all levels, in a myriad of approaches: body-voice work, Improvisation and rhythm; Poetry writing and graphic scoring; Listening Hour, Embodying Ancestry and Sensory Play and more…
Our intention is to offer the 2022 OoP Intensive at a “Pay-from-the-Heart” system. Meaning – you can pay anything from $0-1,000,000 to participate, at your own discretion, based on your ability, sense of fairness and generosity.
We are committed to continue to bring to you some of the most incredible and cutting edge musicians to facilitate workshops through the Orchard. And we’re committed to treating all peoples involved with fairness and respect.
To be able to keep all of these promises to ourselves and to you – we wish to create a strong foundation for the Orchard, via its new home on Patreon.
By contributing to our Patreon community, you gain access to video archives from past intensives and Listening Hours, as well as live-on-zoom monthly gatherings and special workshops. You are also helping us come closer to this new generosity-based format for the Intensives!
