Offered exclusively via Orchard of Pomegranates on Patreon, this not-to-be-missed Songwriters’ Series features three Masterclasses – with Orchard Founder Ayelet Rose Gottlieb; songwriter, folk singer, and NPR Tiny Desk winner, Gaelynn Lea; and internationally recognized singing teacher, Jeanie LoVetri. Each class is tailored to inspire and provide hands-on tools to take your voice and your songwriting skills to the next level!
The Songwriter’s Series Masterclasses include:
February 14th- Ayelet will facilitate a Listening Party, diving into lyrics with a focus on love songs. How do you write about the most explored subject in a way that keeps it interesting and fresh? How do you deliver lyrics with integrity and authenticity?
February 21st- genius songwriter Gaelynn Lea, an American folk-singer, violinist, public-speaker and disability-advocate from Duluth, Minnesota, will host a Masterclass. She won NPR’s 2016 Tiny Desk Contest and recently composed the soundtrack to Macbeth on Broadway, starring Daniel Craig. Gaelynn’s Masterclass will focus on her own songwriting process, as well as providing feedback on participants’ original works.
March 14th- Jeanie LoVetri – one of the most recognized and highly esteemed singing teachers in the world, will join the Orchard. Among her students are Grammy winners and Tony-nominated Broadway leads. With over four decades of research and experience teaching singers of all styles, Jeanie’s groundbreaking training method entitled Somatic Voicework©, puts the singer’s voice front and centre. Jeanie will present an introduction to Somatic Voicework© and give feedback to three performers from a vocal-function perspective.
