“This is Gottlieb and former longtime New York resident Fort’s debut recording as a duo, and they bring their rich, and diverse, professional and life experience to the velvety fore.” ~Barry Davis
TIME FOR BED… AND A SONG
Ayelet Rose Gottlieb and Anat Fort will be pounding a nationwide musical beat later this week when they perform a series of gigs up and down the country based on their new album, Od Halomotaim (Two More Dreams).
Vocalist Gottlieb and pianist Fort are old pals and musical sparring partners. They have performed together numerous times over the years, and the simpatico element is front and center on the album. Both are capable of producing the most delicate and sonorous of sonic lines, with Fort’s adventurous keyboard work seamlessly augmenting and complementing Gottlieb’s tender vocal delivery.
Vancouver-based, Jerusalem- born Gottlieb became a mother just over three years ago, to twins, and is now a mom-of-three. Od Halomotaim feeds off her maternal instincts but, as she puts it, is “an intimate set of lullabies for all ages.”
This is Gottlieb and former longtime New York resident Fort’s debut recording as a duo, and they bring their rich, and diverse, professional and life experience to the velvety fore.
Betwixt cozy gigs at various homes across the country, Gottlieb and Fort will perform at Beit Hayotzer in the Tel Aviv Port on November 17 (2:30 p.m.), Beit Michal in Rehovot on November 23 (5 p.m.) and at The Studio Theater in Haifa on November 25 (11 a.m.).
